A lower-carbon-footprint substitute for furnace carbon black in tyres, rubber and masterbatch — explained for technical buyers.
Recovered carbon black (rCB) is a high-carbon material recovered from end-of-life tyres through pyrolysis, offering a lower-carbon-footprint substitute for virgin carbon black across rubber and plastics.
rCB functionally replaces a portion of the N300, N500 and N600 series of virgin furnace grades. Emerging standards make spec-based procurement practical.
| Application | Virgin grade replaced |
|---|---|
| Tyre compounding (tread / sidewall) | N330, N550 |
| Non-tyre rubber goods | N550, N660 |
| Masterbatch & plastics | N600 / N700 series |
The largest application — sidewall, liner and undertread.
Hoses, mats, seals and moulded goods.
Pigment, UV stability and conductivity.
Colour and conductive compounds.
Klean has built 8 recovered carbon black facilities in India over the past two years, with a Letter of Intent for 5 more, and is recognized by the Canadian government (DFAITC) for circular-economy leadership.
Tell us your application and the virgin grade you're replacing — we'll match you to the right rCB specification.
